Undergrad Research Opportunities
UW College of Education is actively recruiting two undergraduate students to assist on a NSF PFI-TT project that develops an online platform, Collaborative Learning and Analytics for Global Education (Colleague). The proposed technology uses the latest developments in educational “big data” and machine learning techniques to empower K-12 teachers to efficiently plan high-quality instruction and collaborate in teams. This project is led by a team including expertise in education and data science research, product development and technology transfer, marketing and business strategy, and K-12 educators as end-users and potential customers.
We are recruiting two undergrad positions, starting 9/16/2022 or whenever the position is filled, and ending at 6/15/2023. This position may be renewed based on the candidate performance and the availability of funds.
This project will offer opportunities and resources needed to develop students’ research and entrepreneurial expertise in educational data science and technology. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team closely on several aspects of projects, including data sciences methods, front-end programming, and market/user research. The compensation will be determined according to the NSF and UW standard practices.
